Coffee By Design Releases Beans of Peace Blend for Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project
One Dollar from Every Pound Sold in September to Benefit ILAP
PORTLAND, Maine – Coffee By Design announces that the Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project (ILAP) will be the beneficiary of the “Beans of Peace” Community Coffee for the month of September. As part of its Community Coffee Program, Coffee By Design will donate $1 from every pound of “Beans of Peace” sold during the month of September to ILAP.
“We are very grateful that Coffee By Design has selected our organization to be a part of their Community Coffee Program,” notes Ron Kreisman, Executive Director at ILAP. “We have seen an unprecedented increase in immigrants and refugees needing legal assistance over the last few years. This partnership will not only raise funds to support our work, but it will also increase awareness of the struggles faced by Maine’s immigrant community.”
The “Beans of Peace” blend is a dark roast coffee using beans from each of the major coffee-producing countries in the world. The super sweet blend consists of Ethiopia Sidamo Guji Natural, Guatemala Acatenango El Zapote Estate and El Salvador Santa Emilia Estate Espresso Roast. It is available for sale for $14.50 per pound in any of Coffee By Design’s coffee houses as well as online at www.coffeebydesign.com.
The Community Coffee Program at Coffee by Design has a long history of celebrating and supporting the community through special limited edition blends they sell throughout the year.
